A green energy
corridor project

Beawar Transmission Limited is executing a green energy corridor project envisaged by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The project is planned to integrate and evacuate power from additional 20 GW renewable potential of Renewable Energy Zones (Phase III, Part F) in Rajasthan. The project will facilitate evacuation of power generated from renewable energy sources from Fatehgarh complex through Fatehgarh III power station to meet rising power demand of Rajasthan and other northern states.

The project is a part of package F under Phase III (additional 20 GW) of Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan.

Beawar Transmission Ltd will involve construction of a 350 km, 765kV transmission corridor from Fatehgarh III to Beawar passing from 7 Districts (Jaisalmer, Barmer, Balotra, Jodhpur Gramin, Pali, Beawar and Ajmer) in Rajasthan. The project consists of three elements as given below:

Sr. No Elements of Package Project Capacity
1 A 765kV transmission corridor connecting the renewable energy zone of Fatehgarh III to the substation at Beawar Transmission line length - 350 km
2 Construction of a 3000 MVA 765 / 400kV Substation at Beawar
3 Construction of two LILO lines - LILO of both circuit of Ajmer-Chittorgarh 765 kV D / c at Beawar and LILO of 400kV Kota-Merta line at Beawar Transmission line length - ~120 km

The project also includes Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) system implementation at Fatehgarh III substation. Sterlite Power will be the first private transmission infrastructure developer in the country to implement a STATCOM.
